Hands-on with archaeological material

Bringing in archaeological artefacts for your pupils to handle I can run sessions linked to the National Curriculum for history ‘changes in Britain from the Stone Age to the Iron Age’ or ‘The Roman Empire and its Impact in Britain’.

The session focuses on helping children understand the chronology of these time periods and the evidence used by archaeologists to understand what life was like in the past. There are lots of opportunities for the children to handle archaeological artefacts and to work collaboratively in groups.

A half-day session costs £150 for one class (expected to be around 30 children). If you would like to discuss me working with larger groups please get in touch to discuss as I may be able to help.
