About me

Pippa at the West Stow Young Roots project

Pippa at the celebration event for the West Stow Young Roots project

I trained as an archaeologist and pre historian working in the field and finds laboratory until 1996 when I moved into heritage education.I worked for Wessex Archaeology, one of the largest archaeological companies in the UK, delivering education services to schools, organising events, working with volunteers and running outreach projects. I joined the English Heritage Education Team in 2003 and have enjoyed 11 years of inspiring learners of all ages and, latterly, leading a great team doing the same across 400 historic properties. I am now taking the opportunity to work directly with schools and other organisations to support learning about prehistory, history, archaeology and built heritage.

I have an enhanced DBS certificate dated 18th April 2014 and am registered with the Disclosure and Barring update service.
